It’s always busy on a Saturday afternoon at Bonaly, but today was really exceptional. It was brilliant to see so many young families coming to try orienteering for the first time and so many old hands returning to Bonaly yet again. Tom Ryan’s courses were much appreciated by all. He found some new control sites and different approaches on the longer courses, and his White and Yellow were just right for the many beginners.
It was a great introduction to the sport, on a cold but sunny afternoon ideal for running, and we hope that lots of them will return to have another go. Look for the full programme of East of Scotland Saturday events at http://www.eastofscotlandorienteering.org
