Davidson’s Mains Park
Results from the Come-And-Try-It event last Saturday at the Davidson’s Mains Park
Davidson’s Mains Park is a lovely place for a winter afternoon (and it has the added attraction of an excellent play-park). Once again we welcomed many young families trying orienteering for the first time and plenty of old hands too. The fallen leaves on the paths made the Yellow Course a bit more difficult this time, but Maja’s courses made good use of the subtle features throughout the area.
An innovation in the Results is the application of the Colour Badge Time to the Saturday events. To qualify for a Badge at Yellow level or above, you need to be within the winner’s time plus 50%, or the top half of the class, whichever gives the more people qualifying, at three events at that level. So keep coming to more events!
