Roseburn, Tuesday 23 August
A nostalgic score event on a hand-drawn map (based on a social from 10 years ago), this will take place from 7pm to 8pm, in the area around Roseburn and Murrayfield. Visit as many “controls” (lamp-posts marked on the map) as you can within 60 minutes – bring a pen or pencil to write down the numbers, and also a plastic bag if it’s wet. Mass start at 7pm at the NW corner of Roseburn Park, near the pedestrian bridge over the Water of Leith from Riversdale Crescent.
Please email mapkeeper “AT” esoc.org.uk to reserve a map. Do this as soon as you can, so that we know how many maps we'll need!
There will be a simultaneous foot Turf event, ESOC FTT#5, in the same area. This will also start at 7pm, running until 8pm. You can start anywhere in the competition area, but come to the NW corner of Roseburn Park beforehand if you’d like to leave anything there.
This is a Closed event, so pre-entry is required. Enter via this link, or email esoc.turf ”AT” gmail.com with your Turfnick. If you're planning to come, please enter now - don't leave it till the last minute.
NB: This is a foot turf event, not for bikes.
Details of how a Turf event works are in this document: Participating in a Turf Event
