SOUL 8, 2019

MacRosty Park, Crieff, 31 July

There was a good turnout from ESOC, with entries in every class and 4 class winners, for the eighth event in the 2019 Scottish Orienteering Urban League, which took place on the Rest Day of the Scottish 6 Days. 

  

Strathearn 2019 - Scottish 6 Days

28 July - 3 August

Over 70 ESOC members competed at the 2019 Scottish 6 Days event, and there were some excellent results including 2 class winners.

 

  

WMOC 2019

Riga, Latvia, 5 - 12 July

10 ESOC members travelled to the Baltic to compete at the World Masters Orienteering Championships.

The seventh event in the 2019 Scottish Orienteering Urban League was part of the Sprint Scotland weekend, 4 days of Sprint training and racing.

ESOC juniors had a good trip north to the Jamie Stevenson Trophy event.

  

SSOF 2019

Hopetoun House, 7 June

ESOC juniors had a great day out at the 2019 Scottish Schools’ Orienteering Festival, and won medals in several classes.

  

SOUL 6, 2019

South Queensferry, 2 June

The sixth event in the 2019 Scottish Orienteering Urban League was organised by ESOC, and saw many club members helping before or after their run. There were some excellent results, including 5 class winners.

  

Scottish Championships 2019

Dalbeattie Forest / Drumlanrig Woods 25/26 May

The West Area clubs organised the 2019 Scottish Orienteering Championships. The Individual event was at Dalbeattie Forest, and the Relay event was at Drumlanrig. There was a good turnout from ESOC, with results including 4 Scottish champions and several other podium places.

  

British Orienteering Championships 2019

Yorkshire, 4-6 May

This year’s British Championships weekend included the British Mixed Sprint Relays, as well as the British Long and Relay Championships. 30 ESOC members travelled to Yorkshire, enjoyed the three events on varied terrain, and achieved some podium places too.

  

JK 2019

Southern England, 19 - 22 April

The 2019 Jan Kjellström Festival of Orienteering was in the deep south of England, and around 20 ESOC members made the long journey.

  

“Not the JK” 2019

Moncreiffe Hill, 21 April

Tayside Orienteers organised this event for those who weren’t travelling to the JK, and the ESOC entry was similar to that at the JK itself, with some great results.
