ESOC juniors had a great day out at the 2017 Scottish Schools’ Orienteering Festival, with winners in two classes - congratulations!


Scottish Championships 2017

East Lothian, 20/21 May

This year’s Scottish Orienteering Championships were close to home. ESOC, along with TAY, presented the Individual event at Gullane, Archerfield & Yellowcraig, with the Relay at Binning Wood the next day. Many ESOC members were busy helping, but still had some excellent runs, with five trophy winners at the Individual event and three podium places at the Relay.


SOUL 5, 2017

Tranent, Friday 19 May

East Lothian Orienteers organised the fifth event in the 2017 Scottish Orienteering Urban League, as a prelude to the Scottish Championships weekend. There was a huge ESOC entry, and some great results.


SOL 4, 2017

Glen Nant, 14 May

The fourth event in this year’s Scottish Orienteering League was presented by EckO on a new map, and plenty of ESOC members enjoyed the terrain.

Dunstaffnage & Dunbeg, Saturday 13 May

There was a fair turnout of ESOC competitors for the fourth event in the 2017 Scottish Orienteering Urban League, with several first places.

British Orienteering Championships 2017

Southern Lake District, 6-7 May

This year’s British Long and Relay Championships were nearer to home than in the last couple of years, and a sizeable contingent of ESOC members competed, in glorious weather that showed the Lake District at its best.
