2017 Home Internationals Selections

ESOC members have been selected for the Scottish teams at all of the forthcoming Home Internationals.

There was a modest turnout from ESOC for the seventh event in the 2017 Scottish Orienteering Urban League, which was organised by STAG.

  

ESOC Club Championships 2017

The senior Club Championships League scores have been updated to include the 6th event (Day 4 of the Scottish 6 Days).

  

String Course aliens

Aliens from Glen Tanar raise money for ScotJOS

Day 1 String Course at Scottish 6 Days featured a group of Aliens

These Aliens had landed in Glen Tanar.  They worked on the Day 1 string course before agreeing to be rehomed (for money) to raise money for the Scottish Junior Squad

ESOC's annual outing to the Manor Valley - a super fine night for running and taking in the magnificent views.

  

SOUL 6, 2017

Ballater, 2 August

The sixth event in the 2017 Scottish Orienteering Urban League was organised by the Sprint Scotland team, with assistance from SEDS and ScotJOS. It was held on the Rest Day of the Scottish 6 Days, and consequently had a much larger entry than previous SOUL events.

A good crowd of ESOC members got together for a social during the Scottish 6 Days, at the end of Day 3.

  

Royal Deeside 2017 - Scottish 6 Days

30 July - 5 August

The Scottish 6 Days lived up to expectations, with six varied days of orienteering, plus rest day activities and a programme of social events. The Event Centre was in Ballater, with the first three days near Aboyne, to the east, and the final three days further west near Braemar. There were few midges and generally good weather, despite a poor forecast.
