Child Protection (Protection of Vulnerable Groups)

ESOC adheres to the current Scottish Orienteering Association (SOA) Child Protection Policy.  More information about the Protection of Vulnerable Groups scheme and the SOA’s principles and policy is on the SOA website.

The law states that anyone who works or volunteers with children must have undergone certain checks. This means that all organisations, including sports clubs, are legally bound to ensure all coaches and other volunteers who work with children and other vulnerable groups must have checks carried out under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme (previously this was done through Enhanced Disclosures).

The current ESOC Club Welfare Officer is David Robertson (07949140455). If you need more information about ESOC’s child protection issues or the Protection of Vulnerable Groups) please send an enquiry via the Club Contacts page.
