Jamie Stevenson Trophy 2010
Deuchny Wood - 20 June 2010
The Jamie Stevenson Trophy is an annual inter-club competition for juniors. Just 10 ESOC juniors competed this year. Although they were no match for the MAROC team, who won with the highest possible score after winning 6 of the 8 classes, the ESOC team had one of the highest scores on the day, coming 4th. Only 3 points separated 2nd and 6th places, showing how close the competition was.
Over 100 juniors represented 11 Scottish clubs, with a wide geographical spread. Deuchny Wood is near Perth, and was the location for Day 2 of last year’s Scottish Six Day event. Glorious weather and a barbeque after everyone’s runs made this a fun day out.
Best ESOC results came from Rona Lindsay, who won the Green girls class, and Craig Nolan, who was 3rd in the Green boys class.
Full results are available via the SOA website, with Routegadget too.
