ESOC at the 2015 London City RaceSaturday 12 September
A handful of ESOC members competed at the 2015 London City race, which was on a newly extended map.
The 2015 event was the 8th London City race. As well as orienteering in the heart of the City, amongst many famous landmarks, it included Wapping, parts of the East End and a section beside the Tower of London.
ESOC results were:
M35 (105 competitors) – Alistair Hindle 16th
M65 (77) – Robert Findlay 49th
W50 (110) – Janice Nisbet 32nd
W65 (36) – Fiona Findlay 11th
Newcomers (36) – Brian Yates 17th
The next day, there was an ultrasprint event at Waterlow Park in Highgate, North London. This consisted of 3 prologue courses followed by a final, all around 1km in length and including a maze.
Janice Nisbet won the Women’s SuperVet class.
