ESOC Club Championships 2021
The new club champions have been announced!
This year the club championships took place in conjunction with the Scottish Score Championships, at Dalkeith Park on Sunday 21 November. See this news item on the ESOC website for further details about the event, including the results.
The winners were:
Junior:
Novice Junior (accompanied) – Tilly Hepworth
Junior Girl – Catherine Rowe
Junior Boy – Errol Shave
Experienced Junior Boy – Calum Robertson
Senior:
Men's Open – Simon Gregersen
Women's Open – Helen Bridle
Veteran Men – Richard Oxlade
Veteran Women – Alison Cunningham
Overall Superveteran winner – Mary Williams
Best Newcomer – James Fathers
The trophies were presented by Walter Clark, club president, at the Club Championships social. This took place in the afternoon following the event, at the Swanston Brasserie. Everyone enjoyed the chance to get together.
The John Colls Award was also presented. This annual award was set up in 2016 in memory of a former member who made a huge contribution to ESOC as well as both Scottish and British Orienteering. The trophy was presented to Brian Miller, in recognition of many years of behind the scenes work as ESOC’s equipment holder, as well as being club secretary for 6 years.
