ESOC Club Championships 2022

This year’s club champions were decided at Corstorphine Hill.

Junior Girl – Ianthe Bleakley W10
Junior Boy – Eddie Mair M10
Experienced Junior Girl – Thea Thomas W14
Experienced Junior Boy – Tom Uutela M14
Senior Girl – Lucy Sneddon W16
Senior Boy – Hamish Hamilton-Meikle M16

Senior:
Men's Open – Vicente Lopez Sanchez M21
Women's Open – Alison O'Neil W35
Veteran Men – Keith Brown M60
Veteran Women – Alison Cunningham W55
Overall Superveteran winner – Mary Williams W70
Age/gender handicaps were applied for the Veteran (M/W40-60) and Superveteran (M/W65+) classes.

Best Newcomer – Tate Woodhouse M14
Most Improved – Emma Daley W10

The John Colls Award was presented to Robert Findlay. This annual award was set up in 2016 in memory of a former member who made a huge contribution to ESOC as well as both Scottish and British Orienteering. It is awarded to recognise outstanding contributions made to ESOC during the current year.

The trophies were presented by Walter Clark, club president, at the Club Championships social. This was held at the Toby Carvery in Corstorphine, in the late afternoon following the event. There was a good turnout, with many going straight there from the event.
