Jamie Stevenson Trophy 2011Tentsmuir North, 19 June 2011

The ESOC junior team had a great day out at Tentsmuir Forest.

The Jamie Stevenson Trophy is an annual inter-club competition for juniors. This year, there were 17 ESOC juniors at the event, though the 3 youngest were non-competitive, as they were shadowed. Once again MAROC won the trophy; ESOC came 7th.

Over 150 juniors came to the event, from all over Scotland. Tentsmuir Forest is north of St Andrews at the mouth of the Tay estuary, and is an area of forested sanddunes, with a good network of tracks making for some fast runs.

The weather was mostly fine, and everyone enjoyed the barbeque in the sun after their run.
ESOC’s counting scorers were:
Rona Lindsay - Green girls, 2nd
Craig Nolan – Green boys, 3rd
Andrew Lindsay - Green boys, 4th
Imogen Beck – Light Green girls, 5th
Tyler Morrison – Green boys, 5th
Kerry Wood – Yellow girls, 11th

Full individual results are available via the SOA website, with Routegadget too.

Photos from the event are now available in the ESOC Gallery.
