SOUL 6, 2021Bannockburn, Sunday 14 November
Forth Valley Orienteers organised the final event in the 2021 Scottish Orienteering Urban League, which saw a fair turnout from ESOC.
Bannockburn is on the south side of Stirling. The terrain covered various housing developments, separated by open grassy areas and the valley of the Bannock Burn, which made it quite hilly. The Start was just to the south of Bannockburn High School, and courses looped around the area, with the shorter ones staying north of the stream. The weather was fine, though cloudy.
ESOC results in the top half:
M Open (12 competitors) – Simon Gregersen 4th
W Open (6) – Alison O’Neil 3rd
M Supervet (15) – Keith Brown 4th
W Supervet (15) – Alison Cunningham 1st, Helena Nolan 2nd
M Ultravet (12) – Les Dalgleish 4th, Roger Scrutton 5th
W Ultravet (9) – Margaret Dalgleish 2nd, Rhona Fraser 5th
M Young Junior (2) – Calum Robertson 1st
