STAG Winter Score - Pollok Park, 8 January 2012
A few ESOC regulars enjoyed the first event of the year in Glasgow.
This score event was held in Pollok Park, on the south side of the city. Glasgow’s largest park, it has many tracks and paths through varied terrain including woodland, open parkland and gardens. The weather was reasonable, with a few drops of rain here and there, and although there were lots of fallen trees from the previous week’s gales, many people managed to visit all the controls (gaining the maximum score of 11,400) within the 60 minutes time limit. Most adjourned to the cafe for some lunch afterwards.
ESOC results were:
4th – Andrew Dalgleish (11,400 points)
11th – Mike Stewart (11,400)
12th – Heather Thomson (11,400)
19th – Roger Scrutton (10,500)
29th – Les Dalgleish (9,200)
31st – Robert Findlay (9,100)
38th – Fiona Findlay (7,400)
39th – Margaret Dalgleish (7,400)
