2nd & 3rd February 2019 (Scottish Sprint Champs also combined with bto SOUL2 and ESOC Sprint O)
The Scottish Night Orienteering Championships organised by Interlopers and Scottish Sprint Orienteering Championships (incorporating bto SOUL 2 and ESOC Sprint O, organised by ESOC are coming to Edinburgh & the Lothians on the weekend of 2nd & 3rd February 2019.
Pre-entries for both events NOW OPEN on Fabian4 and close on 27th January 2019.
Scottish Night Champs: John Muir Country Park, known to many as Hedderwick Hill is a small-but-perfectly-formed area of two halves: open pine forest together with a strip of subtly contoured sand-dunes, and the latter will surely test navigational skills of all competitors.
Scottish Sprint Champs: Uphall and Broxburn are ex-mining villages which, joined together, have turned into a commuter-town, with many new housing estates surrounding an older centre, and with the Union Canal running through the middle. Used successfully for the first time last year, this year's event will use predominantly new parts of the much large map.
More information about both these events is on the Interlopers and ESOC websites respectively via the links given above. Each club is organising their own event and it is for pre-entry purposes only the weekend of events has been combined.
