Eildon Hills, 26 March
The Eildon Hills are in the Scottish Borders just south of Melrose, full of legends about fairies, King Arthur, and more. The start was on the NE side of the hills, and the longer courses had some long legs right across the hills. Most controls were in the woodland on the south side, with the finish on the eastern side. Many found the going quite tough, and there were some long times.
The weather was warm and sunny, with good views from the open hill, but it was often quite wet and muddy underfoot.
