Urban race 3 of the weekend was also SOUL 3. Hannah claimed 1st place in the WV, whilst Luke (MYJ), Alison (WUV) and Ewart (MHV) all came in 2nd in their respective age categories. Luke, Hannah, Alison and Ewart are now also leading the tables for the urban league.

Another area of Cumbernauld was the setting for Scottish Orienteering Urban League (SOUL) race 3. This area was full of shallow steps and several humpbacked pedestrian bridges to test tired legs from the Sprint champs the previous day. The final 3 controls were all uphill and another test for tired legs! The area was different in character again and featured much longer distances between controls. The weather was cooler than the previous day with some heavy rain, but later runners had sunshine. Fewer club members had returned for this event, but those that did ran well.

ESOC results in the top half:

  • MYJ (2) - Luke Durnall 2nd
  • WV (12) - Hannah Durnall 1st
  • WSV (14) - Emma Anderson 4th, Helena Nolan 5th
  • MUV (12) - Kevin Harding 4th, Martin Caldwell 6th
  • WUV (14) - Alison Harding 2nd, Sally Lindsay 4th, Margaret Dalgleish 8th
  • MHV (7) - Ewart Scott 2nd, Ian Pyrah 4th

Results and routegadget can be found here with SOUL points and league tables here.
