Tinto Twin 2025 / SoSOL 6Palacerigg Country Park, 1/2 November
There were 5 ESOC winners in the overall results of the 36th Tinto Twin 2-day competition, another great autumn weekend organised by STAG.
October Turf Event and Social 2025Thursday 30th October, Drumbrae and Corstorphine
A select few Turfers enjoyed a fabulous event in dry and cool conditions which incorporated urban based zones and a fair few on the wooded and open slopes of Corstorphine Hill. We then met for a natter in the warmth of the Spice Lounge, Drumbrae.
2025 Junior Inter-Area Competition25-26 October, Muiravonside/Barrwood
Several ESOC juniors went to the Junior Inter-Area, an annual competition where juniors from the East area clubs compete against the West and North areas. The competition is held over a weekend, and includes both individual and relay races - it's a great social occasion as well.
Scottish Score Championships 2025Falkirk Wheel, 19 October
Forth Valley Orienteers organised the 2025 Scottish Score, and despite the poor weather there was a good turnout from ESOC, with 5 trophy winners, as well as 7 medallists.
SOUL 6, 2025Stirling Cornton and Causewayhead, 18 October
Those ESOC members who travelled up to Stirling last Saturday to take part in an urban race in a new area, never before used for orienteering, were rewarded with an excellent event featuring some fast and furious running.

ESOC members were involved in the Scotland teams for all of this year’s Home International competitions.

Scotland won the Junior Inter-Regional Championships, with 4 ESOC juniors in the team.
SOL 4, 2025Gullane Dunes, 21 September
There was a good turnout from ESOC for the final event in the 2025 Scottish Orienteering League, another trip to East Lothian, which was organised by Interløpers.
CompassSport Trophy Final 2025South Gare, 14 September
ESOC came 3rd in the CompassSport Trophy Final! This year it was in the NE of England, not too far to travel, organised by Cleveland Orienteering Klub.
SOL 3, 2025Hartside Hill, 7 September
The third event in the 2025 Scottish Orienteering League was organised by East Lothian Orienteers, on a brand new map.
Sprint Scotland 2025Livingston, 3 August
Sprint Scotland 2025 featured 2 separate events in complex urban terrain, including the 5th event in the 2025 Scottish Orienteering Urban League. There was a good turnout from ESOC, with some prizewinners.
Royal Deeside 2025 - Scottish 6 Days27 July - 1 August
This year's biennial festival made a welcome return to Deeside. There were 5 forest days, ranging from Craig Choinnich, in the west, to Glen Dye in the east, while the Wednesday 'rest day' featured an urban sprint around Ballater as well as an MTBO event and, in the evening, a quiz night which was
