ESOC members were quick out of the blocks again in 2026, and as is traditional kicked the year off in style with the Hair of the Dog shenanigans - a wee bit of orienteering to clear the heads, some indoor games, food and socialising!

The final event in the 2025 Scottish Orienteering Urban League was organised by ESOC and there was a great turnout from club members (many of whom were helping), with some excellent results.

As it poured with rain in the afternoon, I think most of us were reflecting on our decision to sign up for a night pounding the Stockbridge cobbles. However, Catherine's excellently planned, and as ever, unique and mind-bending social really turned out to be worth putting on a waterproof for.

There was a fair turnout from ESOC, and some great results, at the penultimate event in the 2025 Scottish Orienteering Urban League, which was organised by Interløpers.
East of Scotland Championships 2025Loch Katrine, 8 November
The 2025 ESOA Championships was organised by Edinburgh University Orienteering Club, and held in conjunction with the individual event for the Scottish Students Championships. Several issues (outwith the organisers’ control) made this an event to remember!
