ESOC achieves Bronze and Silver in new SOA Club Accreditation SchemeA brilliant achievement by the Club
Lots of hard work by many club members went into getting this
ESOC is delighted to announce that we’ve been awarded Bronze and Silver levels in Scottish Orienteering’s Club Accreditation Scheme.
We were recently presented with our Bronze certificate by Rona Lindsay who as Regional Development Officer for Scottish Orienteering has been developing the scheme. ESOC were asked to be the pilot club and we readily accepted that request. The ESOC Committee have been working on this with Rona for nearly a year, with much of the work on behalf of the club being carried out by Walter and many members across the club providing information to support our application. We have also reached the Silver level and will receive the certificate for this soon.
The accreditation involved an in-depth review of the club's activities, governance, people development and profile, so ESOC had a very strong submission to make across all of these areas, recognising the great efforts of so many which go into make ESOC such a great club. We should all be very proud of the awards.
