July Social 2009Cramond Island

Pictures available in the gallery from the social on Cramond Island on Monday evening.  Hope all enjoyed it!

Look at the photos on the Gallery to get the feeling of Cramond Island. It was even more exciting at 6 o’clock when the water was lapping both sides of the causeway as we went over to put out the controls. Forty-three ESOC members, recent and longstanding, young and old, braved the threat of thunderstorms and came over to enjoy some easy non-competitive orienteering, a slightly harder quiz on the Forth Islands and the chance to catch up with each others’ news over a shared picnic with many and varied contributions and plenty of chocolate marshmallows. Many thanks to Andrew and Ewart for putting out the controls and acting as Controllers as they went.
Talk is turning to the 6-Day now; and we’ll nearly all meet again there!
