July Social 2015Monday 5 July

Heavy rain didn't dampen enthusiasm for this run!

It was a dry evening with rain forecast for the 22 runners who took to the streets and pathways from the Nolans' home in Viewfield Road for this July social. Helena had set short and long courses, which led down to the Water of Leith and around various estates and parks in the surrounding area. It didn’t take long before heavy rain started - and one runner (who shall remain nameless) decided she wasn’t wet enough and chose her route to take her through the Water of Leith! It is always fun to run through a different area, and intriguing to see how these areas link up with various paths and walkways. Many thanks to Helena for planning and setting the course with flour blobs - ideal on a wet night as they glue themselves to the pavement!

We were joined by other ESOC members for the social, where we enjoyed good food and a good blether! Many thanks to Helena, Ronnie, Eilidh and Craig for hosting a great evening.
