Long-O, Ochil Hills - 27 June 2010

A select band of ESOC competitors took part in the Ochils Long-O, with some excellent results.

TAY’s annual Long-O event started and finished this year at the Sheriffmuir Inn, at the west end of the Ochils. There was a choice of 3 courses, over the rounded hills above Menstrie and Alva glens. The terrain was mostly open and grassy with good runnability, and there was some tussock in places. Weather conditions were good.

ESOC competitors in the top half of the results were:

Short (9.1km, 380m ascent) – Ewart Scott 6th, Alison Cunningham 8th
Medium (11.8km, 570m ascent) – Mike Stewart 7th
Long (15.0km, 810m ascent) – Helen Bridle 5th

Results and routes for this event are available on the TAY Routegadget page.
