March Social 2014Monday 10 March
The run took on an extra dimension as everyone was looking forward to eating waffles at the post-run social.
Many thanks to Judy and family for hosting the social from their home in Colinton. Judy had drawn a new map of the streets around Bonaly and Colinton and then devised a 45 minute score looking for alphabet letters within words and on lampposts around the area - the idea being to find as many letters of the alphabet as possible in the time allowed. The winner on the long course was Andrew L who found all the letters and he was closely followed by Crawford, then Gemma was the first lady. On the short course, Ben raced around his local streets to beat all the competition and win - well done Ben! Robert was second and Rona was first lady. I’m not sure quite which route Judy takes to Bonaly school on her daily walks but am quite sure that she must have walked a fair few ‘around the houses’ routes in order to draw the map and devise her score - many thanks for a fun event!
About 25 of us then returned to enjoy a lovely buffet while Judy cooked waffle after waffle - delicious!! Lots of chat about the Livingston events over the weekend and time to commiserate with fellow mis-punchers!
A lovely evening - many thanks to Judy, Keith, Ben, Rachel and Megan.
