Along the Water of Leith on a fine evening.

We had a lovely evening this time for our walks and runs up and down the Water of Leith from the Riccarton Inn - dry and calm but very cold with patches of icy snow on the tracks. 15 of us met in the car park and we separated into 4 groups according to how far and fast we wanted to go, and Martin had kindly provided maps with routes of various distance marked. Spurred on by the thought of a nice warm pub, we set off in various directions and eventually fingers just about thawed out and we enjoyed beautiful views over the lights of Edinburgh from the higher paths to the south of the river. The evening was completed with food and a drink in the Inn, where we enjoyed good company and chat.
