SOL1 - Dalrulzion, 6 March 2011

The first event in the 2011 Scottish Orienteering League was organised by Interløpers, at Dalrulzion, and there was a good ESOC attendance.

Dalrulzion is north of Blairgowrie, and is familiar to many in ESOC as the venue for Day 1 of the Scottish 6 Day event in 2009. It’s a technical area, mostly forested, and the longer courses included open moorland. There were plenty of rock features and contour detail, and much of it was rough underfoot, as well as being very wet in places. The weather was chilly, though dry and bright.
