SOL6 - Forvie, near Aberdeen - 11 October 2009

There were more good results for ESOC at the second Autumn in Aberdeenshire event.

The second event of a double-header weekend, this GRAMP event was a complete contrast with the previous day, on the sand dunes of Forvie National Nature reserve. There was intricate contour detail in the dunes, with large expanses of heathery marsh inbetween. It was windy with some short, sharp showers.

ESOC members in the top half of the results were:
Blue (59 finishers) – Andrew Lindsay 13th, Finlay Ross 18th,
Dave Kershaw 23rd, Roger Scrutton 27th, Les Dalgleish 28th,
Helena Nolan 29th
Short Blue (41) – Alison Cunningham 9th, Neil Williams 16th
Green (42) – Rona Lindsay 1st, Mary Williams 9th,
Short Green (28) – Clare Williams 6th,
Light Green (30) – Craig Nolan 1st, Adam Hunter 5th, Gavin Williams 15th
Orange (26) – Jack Conway 11th

This event was also the GRAMP Northern Lights Trophy competition - Craig Nolan won the M14 trophy and Rona Lindsay won the W16 trophy. Craig suffered a brikke failure and so his time wasn’t announced at first, but now it’s all been checked out and he is included in the final results.

See the GRAMP website for full results and Routegadget.
