SoSOL2 - Eildon Hills

There was a good turnout of ESOC members at the 2nd event in this season’s South of Scotland Orienteering League, and glorious weather too.

The sun shone on the Eildon Hills for Roxburgh Reivers’ SoSOL event, with lots of mud (again) and challenging courses for all. The start was high, so all courses had some controls on the open hill, with good views, before descending to the more tricky forest. There were ESOC members competing on most courses, with some great runs and top ten places as follows:
White – Ben Brown, Rachel Brown
Light Green – David Matthews, Ciaran Johnston
Green – Mark Wood, Janice Nisbet, Bill Gauld
Blue – Tyler Morrison, Rona Lindsay, Helena Nolan
Brown – Tom Ryan, Claire Ward
