SOUL 2, 2023Inverness, 4 February

The second event in the 2023 Scottish Orienteering Urban League was organised by INVOC in excellent terrain.

SOUL 2 took place in Kinmylies, on the west side of the city, with the event centre at Charleston Academy. Unfortunately there were only 3 ESOC competitors, which was a pity as it was an enjoyable event in some great urban terrain. There was a short walk to the start and courses immediately led into a maze of modern housing on the side of a hill, with pathways, steps, dead ends, open grassy areas and courtyards offering plenty of route choice and fun navigation. ESOC’s Ewart Scott was the controller.
The weather was cool with some sun, and luckily it remained dry – the forecast rain held off until the end of the event.

M Ultravet (8) – Crawford Lindsay 2nd
W Ultravet (7) – Sally Lindsay 1st
