SOUL 8, 2024Burghead, 22 September
There was a low turnout from ESOC, but some more good results, for the eighth event in the 2024 Scottish Orienteering Urban League, which was organised by Moravian Orienteers.
Burghead is on the Moray coast, by Roseisle Forest. The event centre was on the playing field at the SE end of the town, and there were 2 starts. The shorter courses started nearby, and the longer courses started in a modern housing estate further east. All courses zigzagged around the grid pattern of streets in the centre of the town, and some had controls around the harbour and Pictish fort on the headland beyond the town.
The weather was cloudy and cool.
