STAG Winter Score 1, Pollok Park

ESOC took the top 2 places in both men’s and women’s classes at the first event in STAG’s winter score series.

Pollok Park is Glasgow’s largest park, on the South side of the city, and has varied terrain including woods, parkland, playing fields, and cattle fields (out of bounds) along the White Cart river. The score event offered a choice of time limit – 40, 50 or 60 minutes, and also a choice of whether or not to look at the map before starting. Plenty of people managed to visit all the controls. Best results were:
Men
1st – Richard Beattie
2nd – Andrew Dalgleish
Women
1st – Rona Lindsay
2nd – Margaret Dalgleish
Afterwards, many visited the famous Burrell Collection, to enjoy the culture and/or the coffee shop.
See the STAG results page for results from this event. The next event in this series is on 11 January, at Strathclyde Country Park.
