STAG Winter Score 3 - Allean Forest

A few enthusiastic ESOC members went to the final event in STAG’s winter score series, the Knoll Kollection.

Allean Forest is part of the Tay Forest Park, and lies on hillside above the east end of Loch Tummel, near Pitlochry. Controls had been placed on 30 selected knolls, and everyone had a 60 minute time limit, with the aim of visiting as many knolls as possible – there was a penalty of 1 knoll per 6 seconds late. The weather was mild, though there was still some snow and ice around.

The best ESOC result came from Richard Beattie, who was 5th, with 29 knolls in just over 50 minutes.
