The Story of the Pentland Skyline Run

What a great night…...

June Social – The Story of the Pentland Skyline

What a great night for the skyline run this year – perhaps on the breezy side!! – but fantastic clear views all around. There was a good turnout of both runners and walkers and a variety of distances were covered. Nigel decided to do the run in both directions, whilst the more sensible of us just opted for the usual return route from Nine Mile burn over the Kips, Scald Law, Carnethy Hill and Turnhouse Hill. The walking group joined the skyline between Scald Law and Carnethy and were passed by only the fastest of the runners. The wind was from behind thankfully and helped us quite considerably on our way!
For the post -run analysis we all met in the Flotterstone Inn and enjoyed food, drink and a chat. What a fantastic run and a great sense of achievement but wow did my legs suffer over the next few days!
