ELO Local Event – Dunbar South24 January 2015

A fair number from ESOC enjoyed a sunny afternoon in East Lothian.

The Dunbar South map covers Lochend Wood, and has recently been extended to include the housing estates to the east . The Green course was mainly urban, and thoroughly explored the new housing, with plenty of route choice along small alleyways and confusingly similar roads, as well as some woodland areas. The Orange, Yellow and White courses kept to the woodland and parkland, to avoid road crossings.
It was a clear sunny day, with a cool breeze, and underfoot conditions were good as the ground was still quite frosty.

ESOC members in the top half of the results for their course were:
Green (29 competitors) – Mark Wood 3rd, Crawford Lindsay 7th, Maggie Scrugham 13th, Sally Lindsay 14th, Euan Mackenzie 15th
Orange (10) – Fiona Findlay 5th
Yellow (9) – Jamie Lawlor 2nd, Hanne & Calum Robertson 5th=
White (9) – Adam Clark 1st, Maja Robertson 3rd, Zoe Clark 4th, Joseph Lawlor 5th
