ESOC at the 2014 OMMCheviots, 25/26 October

ESOC competitors had great results at this two-day mountain event.

The OMM (Original Mountain Marathon) is a legendary event that started in 1968, and requires competitors to be totally self-sufficient for the full weekend, carrying everything they need, including camping equipment. This year’s event was held in the Cheviots, Northumberland, on 25/26 October. The terrain was hilly, with a mix of forest and open. Conditions were reported as windy but fairly warm, and also fairly wet.

Congratulations to the ESOC participants:
Andrea Davison & Jonathan Ellis – 11th out of 142 in the Long Score class, and 2nd mixed pair
Heather Thomson & Mike Stewart – 16th out of 165 in the Medium Score class, 1st mixed vet pair
