ESOC at the 2023 JIRCsSouth Wales, 24/25 September

Scotland won the Junior Inter-Regional Championships, with 2 ESOC juniors in the team.

The Junior Inter-Regional Championships weekend is an annual competition between juniors from all the UK regions. Calum Robertson (M14) and Maja Robertson (W18) were in the Scotland team for this year’s competition in South Wales on 23/24 September. The individual event was in the complex sand dunes of Kenfig Burrows, near Port Talbot, and the relays were further east, in mature coniferous plantation at Llantrisant Forest.

Scotland won the individual event, and Scottish teams won both the men’s and women’s relay. Calum was in the winning men’s team. With 2 teams to count, Scotland came 2nd in the relays, but had enough of a lead to win the overall competition.
