ESOC Turf Challenge for May/June 20221 May - 3 July
An extended challenge for the spring and early summer.
New Turf zones appeared on Sunday 1 May (thanks to Kingslayer), completing the link between Edinburgh and Glasgow along the canals. The challenge is to take all the zones on the route, which follows National Cycle Route NCR754, and runs from the zone LochrinBasin (in Edinburgh) to the zone Stuck (at Bowling, on the Clyde), or vice versa. The zones are fairly evenly spaced along the Union Canal and the Forth and Clyde Canal. There are 208 zones altogether, including 10 that are slightly off the canal: Bainfield, HarrisonZone, BroxCanal, CanalCentre, PrioryZone, KettilsSnake, HolyCow, HolyCadder, Collina, and KelvinMaze.

You can do this whenever you like, and however you like: in one expedition, or in sections, and in any order.
The deadline is the end of the June Turf round, on 3 July. There won’t be any checking, just self-reporting. No prizes, but plenty of kudos for doing it!
