Milngavie Sprint Race23 February 2013
CLYDE presented an urban sprint in the centre of Milngavie, a small event with a good ESOC attendance.
Milngavie is just to the north of Glasgow, and the event was based at the Library and Community Centre, by the Allander Water. Courses covered a varied area, with complicated housing developments near the start and finish, woodland and open parkland, suburban streets and car parks, as well as complex and multi-level navigation in the town centre. The weather was dry and sunny.
ESOC results in the top half were:
Long (30 competitors) – Walter Clark 9th, Terry Johnstone 10th, Crawford Lindsay 11th
Short (12 competitors) – Janet Clark 4th, Fiona Findlay 5th, Eleanor Pyrah 6th
Full results, Routegadget and more details are on the CLYDE website.
