SoSOL3 – 2013/14Greenhead Moss, 12 January
There were some great ESOC results at the first South of Scotland Orienteering League event of 2014, organised by STAG.
Greenhead Moss is a Community Nature Park on the east side of Wishaw, in Lanarkshire. The area is mostly fairly flat, with some steep slopes from old mine workings, and the terrain is surprisingly varied, including rough meadows, several ponds, lots of earth banks, and woodlands with varying runnability. It was a frosty morning, so there was ice on many paths and puddles, and elsewhere it was quite wet underfoot.
