Edinburgh Southern Orienteering Club

SoSOL6 - 2011/12Devilla, 10 June

The 6th event in the 2011/12 South of Scotland Orienteering League series was organised by Kingdom of Fife Orienteers, and had a good ESOC attendance.

Devilla Forest is just across the Forth near Kincardine. It’s a rough forest, with many dead branches and ditches, and underfoot conditions were very damp, although the weather on the day was dry. The Orange course in particular was somewhat more challenging than expected.

ESOC competitors in the top half of the results were:
Blue (43 competitors) – Mark Wood 8th, Keith Brown 10th, Roger Garnett 11th, Finlay Ross 21st
Green (38) – Bill Gauld 10th, Alastair Lessells 11th, Margaret Dalgleish 12th
Light Green (14) – Judy Bell 5th, David Matthews 7th
Orange (11) – Mike Stewart 1st, Kerry Wood 4th, Ben Brown 6th
Yellow (5) – Rachel Brown 1st, Ross family 2nd

Full results and Routegadget are available on the KFO website.
