SOUL 6, 2017Ballater, 2 August
The sixth event in the 2017 Scottish Orienteering Urban League was organised by the Sprint Scotland team, with assistance from SEDS and ScotJOS. It was held on the Rest Day of the Scottish 6 Days, and consequently had a much larger entry than previous SOUL events.
The Rest Day Sprint took place in the Victorian village of Ballater, at the heart of Royal Deeside 2017. Courses started on the lower slopes of Craigendarroch (the hill above Ballater) and nearby streets, then crossed playing fields by the Event Campsite before zig-zagging around housing estates to finish near the 6-Days Event Centre.
