SOUL 7 - 2015Jedburgh, 27 September

The seventh event in the 2015 Scottish Orienteering Urban League was organised by Roxburgh Reivers, in the ancient town of Jedburgh, a new area for urban orienteering.

SOUL7 took place on a glorious autumn day, sunny and clear. Parking and registration were south of Jedburgh town centre, overlooked by the imposing abbey ruins. The start was a short distance to the north, and courses immediately headed through an underpass below the main road, then E over the river. On the other side of the river were newer housing estates, and it was quite hilly. W of the river, the town centre was quite a contrast, with narrow alleyways among the old buildings, lots of steps and some parks.
It was surprisingly warm, and many enjoyed an ice cream during post-run discussions.

ESOC members in the top half of the results were:
M Open (8 competitors) – Andrew Lindsay 3rd
M Vet (13) – Keith Brown 6th
M SuperVet (17) – Martin Caldwell 3rd, Crawford Lindsay 6th
