STAG Autumn Score – Cumbernauld Park & Kildrum Estate8 September 2013
A few ESOC regulars competed at STAG’s Autumn Score event, described as “a cracking wee event”.
There was sadly a very low attendance at this event, which offered a new urban map of Kildrum Estate as well as the existing map of Cumbernauld Park, printed back-to-back. There was reportedly plenty of route choice as competitors chose between nice clean streets or lovely running over the Deer Park of Cumbernauld House, with optional excursions into “Bramble City”.
The time limit was 60 minutes, and there were 28 controls, with 9 of them worth 300 points, 9 worth 400 points, 9 worth 500 points, and 1 worth 600 points. The penalty was 10 points per 6 seconds for anyone who was late back.
ESOC results were:
7th – Margaret Dalgleish (5,620 points)
9th – Robert Findlay (5,160)
10th – Les Dalgleish (5,100)
11th – Fiona Findlay (4,610)
14th – Jim Clark (2830)
19th – Janet Clark (1970)
See the results page on the STAG website for further details and full results.
This was the final event in STAG’s 2013 series of score events – the third (at Palacerigg Country Park, Cumbernauld) unfortunately had to be postponed, and is now scheduled for 23 February 2014.
