Explanation of event types
Local events are usually low key and in the 'localised' area, ideal for newcomers to try the sport and Training events are non competitive and used for training and coaching, aimed at members of the club, but they can attract people from neighbouring clubs, and are often ideal for newcomers to try the sport. Regional events attract participants from around the local Region, National events are high quality competitions that will attract people from far away, Major events are Major Events such as a British Championships. Virtual events are where there are no physical controls being used. Your presence at a control is registered using an App on your mobile phone, normally the free MapRun App.
Terrain type: Parkland & Woodland

Planner's Report
Thanks everyone for making a super event. It was truly scorching.
Thanks to Martin, Margaret and Les for helping putting out the controls and to David and Yotam for taking them in.
I saw lots of smiling children's faces so I think the white and yellow courses were enjoyed. The white was in a lovely setting on mown paths round the serpentine pond and the yellow a bit further afield went into the pine garden.
The other courses visited almost every inch of the estate and the comments I had afterwards were very positive with everyone rising to the challenge of the sometimes dense undergrowth with innovative route choices.
Now I can relax and enjoy a run at the next event in Figgate Park without worrying if everyone will find the controls.
Thanks again to everyone.

Organiser's Report
Bush Estate lends itself so well to a family-friendly event, the happy smiling faces were a delight to see. For several families this was their very first event so it was a good introduction. The Help Desk was very busy and the well-oiled team of helpers worked like clockwork as usual. Thank you to one and all, including the Management Team at Edinburgh Technopole, who always welcome our events most warmly.
