October Social 2010

Short report about the October Monday Social

The October social was a street run and get together at Janice Nisbet’s house. Janice had planned a street course around Morningside with a question to answer at each control site. A longer option included visiting churches along the route and answering a question about each one. It was a dry fast run and great fun, with a few interesting route choices along the way. Dark streets and poor pavement surface added to the fun; a little local knowledge might have helped and my personal thanks to Andrew D. for telling me that the ‘spruce-up’ at Janice’s local ‘church’ was because of the pope’s visit not because the tree surgeons had been called in!
Many thanks to Janice for a great run and for hosting the social where we all took turns to hold and admire the latest addition to the club –Adam Rowe, and to enjoy Janice’s hospitality.
