ESOC turned out in force for the second event of the 2019 Scottish Orienteering League, and enjoyed challenging courses on a beautiful spring day.
Scottish Middle Distance Championships 2019Birnam Hill, 30 March
There was a good attendance for the inaugural Scottish Middle Distance Championships, presented by Forth Valley Orienteers on a newly remapped area, with two class winners from ESOC.

The fourth Scottish Orienteering Urban League event of 2019 was close to home, just across the Forth, and there was a good turnout from ESOC members, with 5 class winners!
Lakeland Spring Weekend 2019Lake District, 23/24 March
Some ESOC members travelled south and enjoyed an excellent double-header weekend on technical terrain in the southern Lake District.
CompassSport Cup Scottish Heat 2019Dunrod Hill, 17 March
There was snow and mud for this year’s CompassSport Cup heat, where ESOC qualified for the CompassSport Cup Final.
Northern Championships weekend 2019Sheffield, 9/10 March
There was a small ESOC contingent at this weekend of events (organised by South Yorkshire Orienteers), with mixed fortunes and some great results.

The 31st Tinto Twin weekend turned out to be quite wintry. Plenty of ESOC regulars competed, and brought home a selection of trophies.

The first event of the 2019 Scottish Orienteering League was the day after the British Night Championships, and was organised by MAROC. There was a good turnout from ESOC.
British Night Championships 2019Muir of Dinnet, 23 February
A fair number of intrepid ESOC members competed at this year’s British Night Championships, organised by MAROC, and were rewarded with a few trophies and several other podium places.

Plenty of ESOC members raced in the third Scottish Orienteering Urban League event of 2019, with some excellent results, including 6 class winners.
