Scottish Borders MTBO Bank Holiday WeekendSelkirk/Peebles, 30 April/1 May
The 2023 MTBO British Long and Middle Championships took place in the Scottish Borders.

East Lothian Orienteers organised the third event of this year’s South of Scotland Orienteering League, on a brand new map, and there were some good results from ESOC competitors.

Tayside Orienteers organised the third event of the 2023 Scottish Orienteering League, in tough Perthshire terrain.

Another well-attended social, with MapRun orienteering courses and a spice-themed Turf event.
British Orienteering Junior Selections 2023
ESOC Junior selected again for international competitions!
JK 2023South Lakes, 7-10 April
The 2023 Jan Kjellström Festival of Orienteering took place in the southern Lake District, with great terrain, and beautiful weather most of the time.
Scottish Sprint Championships 2023Kirkintilloch, 2 April
ESOC had 2 class winners and lots of medallists at the Scottish Sprint Championships, which was organised by Clydeside Orienteers. It was also the fifth event in this year’s Scottish Orienteering Urban League.
British Orienteering Championships 2023Chilterns, 25-26 March
Once again, the British Championships weekend was in the south of England, and just a few ESOC competitors made the long journey.
SOL 2, 2023North Pentlands, 19 March
The second event in this year’s Scottish Orienteering League was organised by ESOC, with a great turnout of helpers as well as competitors.

This well-attended social featured orienteering or turfing, with drinks afterwards.
Scottish Middle Distance Championships 2023Beecraigs, 18 March
This year’s Scottish Middle Distance Championships was organised by Forth Valley Orienteers and saw a good turnout from ESOC, with some good results but no champions this time.
