JK 2014South Wales, 18 - 21 April
There were good performances from ESOC, with some podium places, at the Jan Kjellström Festival of Orienteering in South Wales.
European Orienteering Championships 2014
Claire Ward was in the GB team at the European Orienteering Championships, which were held in Palmela, Portugal, from 10-16 April. She was in the Middle and Long races and also ran in the relay.

A wonderful evening in Fife - Spring had definitely sprung for our run in Aberdour. Beautiful views and wonderful weather.

The second event in this year’s Scottish Orienteering League was organised by STAG and ScotJOS, and saw a good turnout from ESOC.

There was an excellent ESOC attendance at the first event in the 2014 Scottish Orienteering League, which was organised by Kingdom of Fife Orienteers.

ESOC turned out in force at Interløpers’ double header weekend, for the 3rd Scottish Orienteering Urban League event of 2014, followed by this season’s 6th South of Scotland Orienteering League event.

A large ESOC contingent competed at the fifth South of Scotland Orienteering League event this season, which was presented by Forth Valley Orienteers.
Perth Perfect Day Out 2014Saturday 15 February
The ‘Perth Perfect Day Out’, organised by Tayside Orienteers, featured the Scottish Sprint Championships in the afternoon at North Muirton, and the Scottish Night Championships in the evening at Kinnoull Hill, with ESOC winners at both events.

Edinburgh University Orienteering Club’s Big Weekend had a strong ESOC presence as usual, and some great results in all 3 events.

ESOC’s urban enthusiasts took part in Scotland’s first mixed Sprint relay and also ran the associated Urban courses.
