The fifth event in the 2018 Scottish Orienteering Urban League was organised by Tayside Orienteers.

ESOC at the 2018 Venla/JukolaLahti-Hollola, Finland, 16/17 June
Several intrepid ESOC members competed at the Venla and Jukola relays - the biggest orienteering relays in the world, held annually in Finland.

The fourth event in this year’s South of Scotland Orienteering League was organised by Tayside Orienteers, on a newly remapped area, and there were plenty of ESOC runners.

ESOC juniors enjoyed the 2018 Scottish Schools’ Orienteering Festival, and won in two classes.
Scottish Championships 2018Achagour & Dulsie / Roseisle N, 26/27 May
The 2018 Scottish Orienteering Championships were presented by the North Area clubs, with the Individual event at Achagour, and the Relay at Roseisle. ESOC was well-represented, with some good results, though only one trophy winner this year.
British Orienteering Championships 2018Royal Deeside, 19/20 May
The 2018 British Long and Relay Championships were in Scotland this year, and there was a big turnout from ESOC, with over 50 members competing. They were rewarded with beautiful weather and some excellent results.
STAG Score 4, 2018Cathkin Braes, 13 May
A few ESOC members competed at STAG’s fourth score event of 2018.

There was a small ESOC contingent at this weekend of events in North Yorkshire, with some great results.

A handful of ESOC members ventured west for STAG’s third score event of 2018.
Lakeland April Weekend 2018Lake District, 14/15 April
A few ESOC members travelled south for an excellent double-header weekend in the Lake District, with contrasting terrain in spring conditions.
SOL 2, 2018Linn of Tummel, 8 April
ESOC organised the second event in the 2018 Scottish Orienteering League – with glorious weather, a good turnout of helpers, and logistical difficulties solved, everyone enjoyed the day.

East Lothian Orienteers offered an alternative to the JK on Easter Saturday.
JK 2018West Midlands, 30 March - 2 April
The 51st Jan Kjellström Festival of Orienteering was held at Cannock Chase, in Staffordshire. Around 40 ESOC members competed in the individual events, with some excellent results.

The first event of 2018’s Scottish Orienteering League was part of the Scottish Spring weekend, and saw a good turnout from ESOC.
