TAY Christmas Score event 2009Muirward Wood, 13 December
Once again, ESOC members won prizes at this annual fun event, held at Muirward Wood, near Perth. There were Christmas-themed bonus questions to boost your score.

The 11th Glasgow Parks Championships, with races in 3 different Glasgow parks, saw a good turnout from ESOC, and prizewinners in two of the classes.
British Schools Orienteering Championships 2009Druridge Bay - 22 November
Four ESOC juniors travelled south to compete in the 2009 British Schools Championships.
SoSOL1 - 2009/10Barr Wood, 8 November
The first South of Scotland Orienteering League event of the new season took place on a beautiful morning, with a great ESOC attendance.

ESOC was well-represented at the Saturday event of the Autumn in Aberdeenshire weekend (2 Scottish Orienteering League events back-to-back).
TAY 2009 - Scottish 6 Days2 - 8 August
What a week! Great areas with amazing variety across the six days, lively arenas, no mud in the car parks, plenty of socialising in the sunshine and ESOC success both organisationally and in the orienteering.
SSOF 2009Beecraigs, 5 June
ESOC juniors did well at the Scottish Schools’ Orienteering Festival, held at Beecraigs Country Park near Linlithgow.
World Schools Orienteering Championships 2009Alcalá de Henares, Madrid, 14-20 April
3 ESOC juniors competed at the World Schools Orienteering Championships in Spain.
JK International Festival of Orienteering 2009
Northumbrian Hills || 10th-13th April Two Gold, one Silver & one Bronze in the Sprint Races, a Bronze in the two-day Classic and a Bronze in the Relays. Additionally, new recruit Helen Bridle missed Gold by only 2 seconds in the Women’s Open Sprint and was placed 8th overall in the JK Women’s E
Scottish Night Championships 2009Birsemore Hill, 21 February
A handful of ESOC members travelled north to Deeside for the 2009 Night Championships, organised by MAROC.
Edinburgh Big Weekend 200924/25 January
The weekend of 24/25 January saw two very different events in the heart of Edinburgh; the Edinburgh City Race and a SoSOL event on Arthur’s Seat. There was a great ESOC turnout for both days, with 2 winners in the City Race.
ELO Festive Frolic 2008Vogrie Country Park, 28 December
There was a big turnout from ESOC for the East Lothian Orienteers’ seasonal event at Vogrie Country Park, including some prizewinners.
