ESOA Championships 2013 & SoSOL2Duns Wood, 17 November
There was a good turnout from ESOC for the East of Scotland Championships, with a fine haul of trophies. This was also the 2nd event in the South of Scotland Orienteering League for 2013/14.
SoSOL1 – 2013North Pentlands, 10 November
The first South of Scotland Orienteering League event of the 2013/14 season was organised by ESOC. Many came to help, and there were plenty of good ESOC results.
SOUL 7 - 2013Oxgangs, Edinburgh, 9 November
The final event of the 2013 Scottish Orienteering Urban League was part of ESOC’s Edinburgh Extravaganza weekend, with a huge turnout of helpers and some excellent ESOC results.
Scottish Score Championships 2013Balkello Hill, 3 November
There was glorious weather for this year’s Scottish Score Championships, and some ESOC trophy winners too.
Tinto Twin 2013/SOUL 6Lanark Racecourse / Lanark, 26/27 October
Success for ESOC members at the 26th Tinto Twin competition.
Highland WOLF 2013Speyside, 19/20 October
Badenoch and Strathspey Orienteering Club organised this excellent “Weekend of Orienteering in Lovely Forests”, including the final event in the 2013 Scottish Orienteering League. Plenty of ESOC people went, with some great results.
TAY Local Event – Deuchny Wood13 October 2013
There was a modest turnout from ESOC for this local orienteering event near Perth.
ESOC at the 2013 VHINorfolk, 5/6 October
ESOC orienteers were in the Scotland team at the Veteran Home International.
SOUL 5 / SOL 6 – 2013Banchory, 5/6 October
This double-header weekend was presented by Mar Orienteering Club, with an urban race round the streets of Banchory on Saturday and a forest event nearby on Sunday.
ESOC at the 2013 London City RaceSunday 22 September
This year only 2 ESOC members competed at the London City race, which was on the Isle of Dogs, in a huge loop of the River Thames.
SOL 5 – 2013Ardchattan, 15 September
The first Scottish Orienteering League event after the summer was organised by Loch Eck Orienteers, and there were some impressive ESOC results, despite appalling weather.
Scottish Inter-Club Team Relay 2013Ganavan, 14 September
ESOC had two 8-person teams this year. Neither did particularly well, but it was a sociable event and it's good to see it back in the calendar.
TAY Local Event - Hill of Alyth8 September 2013
Most of us missed this event, which was enjoyed by just a couple of ESOC members.
STAG Autumn Score – Cumbernauld Park & Kildrum Estate8 September 2013
A few ESOC regulars competed at STAG’s Autumn Score event, described as “a cracking wee event”.
SOUL 4 - 2013Tweedbank, 1 September
The fourth event in this year’s Scottish Orienteering Urban League was presented by Roxburgh Reivers, in Tweedbank, between Galashiels and Melrose. There were some great ESOC results.
