SOUL 8, 2024Burghead, 22 September
There was a low turnout from ESOC, but some more good results, for the eighth event in the 2024 Scottish Orienteering Urban League, which was organised by Moravian Orienteers.
SOUL 7, 2024Nairn, 21 September
The seventh event in the 2024 Scottish Orienteering Urban League was organised by Inverness Orienteering Club, with ESOC’s Ewart Scott as Controller. Although there weren’t many ESOC competitors, they had some good results.
SoSOL 7, 2024Balloch Country Park, 15 September
Just a few ESOC members travelled west for the seventh event in the 2024 South of Scotland Orienteering League, which was organised by Clydeside Orienteers.
FVO Weekend, 2024Edinchip / Callander Crags, 7/8 September
This double-header weekend was organised by Forth Valley Orienteers, and featured the fourth event in the 2024 Scottish Orienteering League on Saturday, and the sixth event in the South of Scotland Orienteering League on Sunday.
Scottish Sprint Championships 2024MacRosty Park, Crieff, 1 September
ESOC had 2 class winners at the Scottish Sprint Championships, which was organised by Tayside Orienteers. It was also the sixth event in this year’s Scottish Orienteering Urban League.
Croeso 2024South Wales, 21-27 July
14 ESOC members competed at the Welsh 6 Day event in the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons National Park), and thoroughly enjoyed the week.

The Sprint World Orienteering Championships took place in Edinburgh after many years of preparation, and was enormously successful.
Jamie Stevenson Trophy 2024The Hermitage (Dunkeld), 16 June
Sunday saw the 2024 edition of the annual junior inter-club competition, with a crack squad of 13 ESOC juniors (lucky for some!) venturing into the forests of Dunkeld, claiming a Bronze medal and in our biased opinion the smartest team turnout with ESOC kit and war paint on point!
SOL 3, 2024North Pentlands, 9 June
ESOC organised the third event in this year’s Scottish Orienteering League, in the familiar surroundings of the North Pentland Hills.

The 2024 Scottish Schools’ Orienteering Festival was organised by STAG (St Andrew’s Orienteering Club), and ESOC juniors enjoyed the day, with some great results.
Scottish Championships 2024Craig Leach & Roseisle, 25-26 May
Inverness played host to the 2024 Scottish Orienteering Championships, with the quality terrain attracting over 350 competitors including a fair few pilgrims from south of the border.
